This look started as a copycat: one of the other teachers wore a denim shirt with black jeans and a grey cardigan and it was super cute. I started with this denim shirt and my black “magic” pants, but then went rogue and added the fur vest and boots. The neon bracelet adds a pop of color.
REWIND: Here’s one last outfit from my trip home. And yes, these boots again.
This was a particularly dreadful weather day. I wore this to run a few errands (YES, trying things on at H&M counts as an errand) and then right back into pajamas for a nice lazy day in with Ellery on the sofa.
I’m wearing several birthday gifts here: necklace and watch from Elle and blazer from Mom. And this purse has recently been brought back from a long medical leave: the hook holding the lock was broken and I finally got around to getting it fixed.
FINALLY FOUND: super comfy black wedges!!! I have been searching for the perfect pair forever, and I can finally check these off the list. Not only are they the perfect wedge height for me, these Cole Haan’s have Nike Air technology inside. You would never know by just looking at them, but I can really feel they little air pockets inside the wedge when I lean back on my heels, or am stomping quickly down the hallway. SWOON.
AND they are even more on sale now than when I bought them a few weeks ago. I’m seriously considering buying several more colors/textures.
*Side note: I’ve had this little windowpane jumper dress since high school.
Sorry again for the iPhone photos! This outfit was toasty and cozy for a winter day. The blouse is my long anticipated (almost)Perfect Chambray shirt – more detailed pictures on that to come.
When choosing necklaces the night before, I tend to hang a few options on the hanger holding my planned shirt. After hanging these two on top of each other as separate option, I decided they looked perfect together. They create a nice chunky look to stand up to the chunkiness of the cable knit. I like how this outfit is very preppy from afar, but gets more and more Punk Rock the closer you look.
I don’t do Black Friday, and I hadn’t planned on going bananas for Cyber Monday, but this J. Crew Factory sale has caught my attention. In my quest for the perfect chambray shirt, I ordered this one during a 30% off sale. I ordered a Small, which I think is going to be too big (I didn’t properly try it on, just held it up). My plan is to reorder the Small and an Extra Small. If the Small fits, then I got it at a better price and will send the other 2 back. If the Extra Small fits, then I still got Free Shipping and would’ve had to send the Small back anyway.
